The Leadership Development Pathway (LDP) is a programme to develop young people’s leadership skills through involvement in rugby to cultivate skills and experiences beyond the field of play.
The LDP looks to provide the community and club with future leaders, coaches, referees and volunteers by providing pathways similar to the DofE. It equips young people of all diversities and mental abilities with the skills to become effective leaders in all walks of life – personnel development, confidence, communication and teamwork skills. The skills developed in the rugby environment will be enhanced with community projects and volunteering.
Enrolment is at the beginning of each season where club members will be asked to enrol, before undertaking the programme.
