Rugby Lions RFC

17 - 22

(HT 12-10)

Peterborough RUFC

Rugby came out all guns blazing to put Boro through their paces to earn the win.

Boro were first to score with Sav charging over the try line.  The rest of the half was an arm wrestler to find gaps through the defence.  Rugby were able to score twice, with one conversion.  Jess P scored to keep Boro within 2 points of Rugby.
Half time score 12 - 10

Second half saw Boro stick to the game plan and set Liv up to score out wide on the wing.  Rugby were eager for the win and were next to score and Boro were trailing behind again.  A yellow card saw Boro down to 14 players but defence was strong and the score remained at 17 - 15 until the last minutes of the game when Maddy was able to fight her way over the line under a pile of Rugby bodies to score the try and get the conversion.
Full time 17 - 22

With one game to go, Boro are now clear for the top of the table league win.
