Peterborough ladies travelled to Bletchley on a particularly dismal December day and we knew if was going to be a mud bath game.
It was a definite arm wrestle and the pitch conditions made for heavy, messy ball and claggy runs. After a period of defending in our 22, slipping and sliding about in the mud, Bletchley were able to score out on the wing shortly before half time.
Half-time 5 - 0
More argy-bargy up and down the pitch. Could have been any ones game. Bletchley were able to score after 20 minutes in to see the hosts up 10-0. Peterborough had more injuries than we would have liked but being a versatile bunch we were able to move players about and still maintain attacking play putting pressure on Bletchley. In the final throws of the game, we were attacking in their 22 and Annie was able to to run around the Bletchley defence and score on the wing.
