Peterborough RUFC

0 - 24

(HT 0-10)

Lincoln RFC

Today, saw Peterborough and Lincoln battle it out for third place in the league standings.  All to play for.

Lincoln were first to get points on the board, scoring a try 7 minutes in (0 - 5).  Lots of defending, and attacking, from Peterborough but just couldn't get the ball over the line.  Despite a fantastic chase and tackle from Penny, Lincoln were able to score again out wide at the end of the second half (0 - 10).

Half time score: 0 - 10

The second half was also a tale of Lincoln book-end tries, with them scoring converted tries at 4 and 35 minutes into the half.  The score really didn't reflect the performance from Peterborough.

Full time: 0 - 24

Forward of the match: Poppy O'Driscoll

Back of the match: Tyne Story-Taylor

Player's player: Katy Miller

Opposition player's choice: Maddy Buckland

Dick of the day: Nat Elliott

Sadly we say goodbye to a number of our players as they move to different pastures next season - Elinor Grant (Captain), Abi Sole-Potter, Ruby James and Sav Evans.  We wish them all the very best in their new adventures.

That was the last game of the league season.  Peterborough ladies finished fourth out of ten teams in the league after being freshly promoted to NC1 this season.  Very proud of our achievement and looking forward to improving on that next season.

Next up is President's day, we will be playing Long Eaton on Saturday 4th May at 1pm.
