We gave the walk-over but travelled to Sudbury to play a friendly, thereby avoiding the minus 5 point penalty. It was all P'Boro players pulling together to get the game played. Our magnificant 2s players stepped up into a Champ 2 game and gave it their all.
Sudbury opened up the scoring with 2 minutes on the clock, with their very strong winger running in to score the try. Sudbury were a very fit, well drilled side, but were P'Boro were determined to disrupt their play. Our tenacious scrum half was able to dummy her way through to score the first points for Boro. Rachel Poon with the try, converted by George Nicholls. Sudbury came back with a try. George Nicholls was next to score after a storming run up the pitch to score out on the wing, not converted. Sudbury were quick to reply with two tries.

With lots of fresh legs for Sudbury, the second half saw them score four tries in the opening 20 minutes. Our attacking play came together and saw full back, George, power under the posts, and took the conversion. Sudbury were not letting up and were straight back to score. With minutes left on the clock, and as we all know...... last try wins..... George was off again to score the last try of the game.
