Peterborough RUFC
Biggleswade RUFC
Boro Ladies welcomed Biggleswade Ladies to Fortress Fengate, having already won the match.
Credit to both teams for playing, to Biggleswade for turning up with nine players and those Boro Ladies who donned a Big shirt during the match.  Boro won the friendly, but were made to work for it, particularly in the first half. Bigglesboro had a backline of one Biggy (the scrum half) and six Boro Ladies, including an impressive midfield of Steph and Mel, ensuring that nothing went through the middle.
The second half saw a few changes in personnel, but as the Bigglesboro pack (comprising purely of visitors) tired, Boro were able to press the accelerator and move comfortable through the gears, allowing Hugh see what his players could do. With plenty of clean ball, there were some very good team tries, and Maddy's goal kicking was top drawer.  So a useful exercise ensuring that most of the Boro squad had a good run out, and no quarter given (or expected).
Next up, a trip to bring the BOOM to Royston.
